How does it work?
1. Type in an item's name and expiration date
An item can be anything you want! Maybe you have two thousand pounds of grain that you bought a few years ago. Or perhaps you just added some really tasty granola bars to your 72 hour kits. And of course every long-term storage needs at least a couple bottles of shampoo (which do, in fact, expire).
Just type in an item (we'll try to match it up against something in our database) and add an expiration date. Click the "Add" button and it is added to your account.
2. Receive an email before it expires
Now, based on your preferences, you will receive an email three months before your products are set to expire. Our systems check every single product you have entered every day, so we never miss a beat. You can be sure that once you've set it, you can forget it, until Fresh Reminders sends you a polite message.
3. Replace, re-enter, rejoice!
Finally you can have peace of mind knowing when you'll need to rotate your food storage items so you always have safe, fresh products on hand. And by regularly rotating food storage, you can get used to cooking with, say, whole wheat, so that when you do have to use your food storage, you not only know that it’s fresh, but you know how to cook it as well. When you replace your expiring products with new items, just come back to Fresh Reminders, type in the new expiration date, and you're set! We'll stay on top of all those dates, and you can relax knowing you are good to go.
